Heavy upper eyelids are one of the most frequent reasons for eyelid surgery. The cause of the heavy eyelids most often occurs as normal part of the aging process, which causes reduced elasticity of the skin. This means that the skin on the upper eyelids becomes loose and in some cases even weighs down over the eyes.<\/p>

It may also be because you have a genetic predisposition to the development of heavy eyelids at a young age.<\/p>

Eyelid surgery is a suitable option for those experiencing a tired or heavy appearance in the eye region, as well as drooping eyelids, restricted field of view, or recurring headaches.\u00a0<\/p>

This surgery is called a blepharoplasty. During a blepharoplasty, excess skin and fatty deposits are removed, resulting in a fresher appearance.<\/p>

The result after cosmetic surgery is not permanent, as the normal aging processes, as well as smoking, pregnancy, weight loss and weight gain can affect the result in the long term.\u00a0<\/p>
